Will Using An Inhaler Result In Higher Reading On Breathalyzer?
I was fired for blowing a .03 on a breathalyzer test but had been using my inhaler thru the night... Will this result in a higher reading? I had used the inhaler about 15 minutes before the test and had consumed only 2 alcoholic drinks the evening before
No. Inhalers have no alcohol and will not cause a higher reading on the breathalyzer. Sometimes machines may go wrong and give you an erroneous reading. You should have requested and repeated the test again to see whether the test was correct.
