With Steroid Allergy Is Gestofit 100 Safe During Pregnancy?

I am expecting my second child and my due date is 20th feb. My first delivery was normal. I also had no problem in conceiving again. MY LMP was 13th MAy 2011 and I am two months pregnant. My Doc has prescribed Gestofit 100. Is this safe for me to take considering the fact that I am allergic to steroids? Also, can i withdraw from this medicine all of a sudden?

Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Gestofit is progesterone which supports the pregnancy by making uterine environment more favourable for foetus. It is a steroid derivative, however is not known to cause reaction in steroid allergic patients.
You can take it safely.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
