Would CBD Oil Be Helpful In Dealing With Severe Depression While Allergic To Anti-depressant Medication?

So, I have pretty severe depression, and it was discovered recently that I’m allergic to antidepressants. No other solutions seem to be available so I was doing research into CBD oil, and didn’t see many issues, wondering if this may work? I’m on no other medications.

Hi,

CBD treatment seems very hit-and-miss. Some patients report effects while others do not. Feel free to try it out. However, there are many anti-depressants out there, and it would be rare to have allergic reactions to all of them - are you sure there are no alternatives? Please remember that personal care is very important in depression, be sure to sleep, eat well and exercise. Also, get at least 30-60 minutes of sunlight each day. This in itself may alleviate symptoms.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
