Would Enzoheal Ointment Heal The Yellow Crust Formation On Wounds?
Hi... I want to know how Enzoheal ointment acts for wound healing ? I have been prescribed the ointment by our local doctor for the bruises which had gone sore. Upon application of Enzoheal Ointment (Macleods Pharma. Ltd.) after it dries it turns into some sort of yellow crystals on the wound. I usually clean this when applying the Ointment for the 2nd time. Is this Ok ? or I should not peel that dark yellow crust on the wound ?? As sometimes when cleaning, it does bleed. Mine is a superficial skin wound around 4cm x 4cm (initial it was small) Thanking you in anticipation. regards, Mr. Velho Goa - India
There can be multiple possibilities of yellow crust. You have not mentioned your age, sex, occupation and any recent change in routine. After reading your query there are two possibilities can be made:
1. Folliculitis: It is a Simple blockage and inflammation of the oil and hair root. It may cause dime sized knot underneath skin of leg.
2. Allergic rash: It may be due to contact sensitivity by some allergen in recent period. As this is painful so this possibility is less likely.
Do not try to pinch pop or even touch the area as it may lead to secondary infection and further aggravation and spread.
Take care.
