Would A Surgery Help In The Treatment Of Tendinosis?
I have Moderate tendinosis of the mid and posterior supraspinatus tendon, with bursal surface fraying. Grade 1 strain of the posterior supraspinatus muscle. Mild subacromial bursitis. Physiotherapy didn t help, I did it for 3 months. I ve been doing laser treatment and ultrasound treatment also and that hasn t helped. Would surgery help?
Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
If physiotherapy has failed and symptoms are persistent, you can go for surgery. Surgery has got good results and long term outcomes are also good. You can consult an orthopaedician and he will direct you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
