Would An MRI Help Determine If A Complex Ovarian Cyst Is Benign Or Malignant?

I am a 59 year old female, a mother of 3. I acheived menopause at the age of 52. I had a lower abdominal dull pain and discomfort, frequent urination, so I went to doctor.   T-Ultra sound came out as: Complex ovarian cyst of 7.4X8.2X8.5 (APXTRXCC) ARISING FROM THE RIGHT OVARY. CA-125 test is 8.6 U/ml.  I should go laparoscopy or Open surgery to remove ovary, uterus, fallopian tube?  Can i also go for MRI, because i want to verify whether it is benign or malignant. Pls advise
