Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Would An Eating Disorder Make One Sense, See And Hear Things That Others Cannot?
I sometimes hear and see things that other people do not hear or see. Also I sometimes feel tugging on my hair even if no one s around and it s not caught on something. I ve been told that having an eating disorder you can have this problem. It s been happening before I developed an ed, it s been around 3 or 4 years while I ve had an ed for a year now... Is it because the ed or something else, maybe?
I recommend consulting with a psychiatrist, because your symptoms could be related to a psychiatric disorder. Checking thyroid hormone levels is needed too.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
