Would Fatigue And Headaches Be Symptoms Of The Re-occurrence Of A Fibroid Tumor?
Hello, My name is XXXX. In 2005 I had a myomectomy procedure done to remove large fibroid tumors. Recently I have been having the same symptom I had in 2004-2005 but worse. I ve been experiencing fatigue, headaches, and even can t go without eating a large cup of crushed ice (it makes me feel better) . I believe they have returned. I do not have children but would like to have one in the future. I ve heard of a Uterine fibroid embolization procedure..? What do you advise ?
As there is history of myomectomy procedure with hormone changes induced fatigue, headache (there can be anemia from low hemoglobin due to excess menses), it is more likely to be recurrence of the fibroids. The embolization procedure has excellent results for the uterine fibroid by cauterization of supplying vessels which make the fibroid to shrink. However, individual case has different pros and cons of therapy strategy and the same has to be discussed with your treating OBGYN for best guidance.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
