Would Omitting Alfuzosin In The Evening Reduce Urinary Incontinence?

I have a Urology question regarding my 89 year old Father ~ he has prostate problems and is experiencing urine leakage which is keeping him awake at night even though he wears a depends brief. My question is: he takes Alfuzosin ER 10mg twice a day in the AM and PM. would omitting the PM dose help? He also takes Finasteride 5mg in the PM. Now, I know if he forgets his medicine, he will experience bladder retention which has happened twice in one month about a month ago, he missed 4 doses when this happened. I did call his urologist but he is not in today.

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. You father has benign prostatic hyperplasia. He is taking alfuzocin and finateride. Afluzocin is alpha blocker help to dilate the urethra and he canpass urine eeasily. He should not omit the evening dosage. It will not help in urinary incontinence, rather it will cause urinary retention and difficulties in passing urine.
