Would One's Fertility Be Affected Due To A Cystic Mass In The Right Adnexa Region, Thickened Endometrium And Full Fluid Collection In The POD?
doctor i am Linda aged 25 with height 1.54 cm weighing 56 kg from Zambia, i recently visited the hospital where i did my radio-logical examinations after which the report said; there is a cystic mass seen in the right adnexa region measuring 2.89cm x 3.19cm. the endometrium is thickened measuring 1.99cm there is full fluid collection in the pouch of Douglas. this was the doctors report. please is there any cure or way to resolve this, and can this affect my fertility and hinder me from conceiving.
Hi, I think the cyst is not very big. It will resolve on its own in 2 to 3 months. The endometrial thickness is more. It can be due to a polyp or may be due to endometrial hyperplasia. If you have any symptoms like heavy bleeding during periods or irregular periods, get yourself evaluated by a gynecologist. Fluid in pouch of Douglas can be due to infection or may be ovulation. So, if your periods get delayed this time, do a urine pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy first. If not, you may need some antibiotic and antifungal drugs orally as well as vaginal. This will treat the infection. I think there is no problem in conceiving if your periods are regular.
