Would Recovery From An Infection That Shows In A Urine Culture Test Affect The Pregnancy Or Fetus At 4 Months?
Am 4 month pregnant... And I had pus cells (8-10) in last month .. i have frequent urination like 17 times per day... After one month I had a urine culture test.. In that result Gram stain - occasional pus cells and no organism seen... Is it normal or not?? Is this result affect my unborn baby
The report of occasional pus cell with no organism presence, is a normal report on gram staining after culture of the urine. However, as you were having urine infection previously, where as recurrent urine infection after an episode of infection is very common during pregnancy, hence a periodic examination of urine for presence of pus cells is advised and if infection is there, it should be treated under guidance of your doctor.
