Would There Be Any Defects In Our Children?

Hi..I am Md Maksudur Rahman ..Living in Dhaka, Bangladesh. I am newly married. I wife is my cousin from my maternal side. I am 31 years old and she is just 20. My blood group is AB- and her AB+. If there any negative effects if we take decision to have a children?

Brief answer: Not necessarily to be with defects.. But risks are relatively more than non consanguineous marriage.
Detailed answer:If I was your family physician,would have warned you about the possible risks for future generation,to inherit rarely genetic mutations causing congenital defect,inborn metabolic error syndromes etc,when marrying with a person of common ancestoral origin.Be positive ,as the chances of getting a perfectly healthy baby is nearly equal that of others.Hope i have answered your query.Take care and all the best.
