Dear member,
Thanks for writing to healthcare magic.
I am extremely sorry for your loss.
when the fetus has stopped growing and no heart beat is is called missed abortion. There is more harm in waiting for spontaneous abortion.
if you are nervous about pain during evacuation ask your doctor for anaesthesia.
Surgical evacuation done with good antibiotics cover will usually not cause any trauma to uterus.
You can discuss medical abortion with your doctor where you can take tablets at home you can abort at home.
But sometimes there can be retained pieces in uterus when again you may need surgical evacuation. Kindly discuss with your doctor.
Thanks
Dr Bhagyashree.
