Yes, patients can have a heart attack with a normal ecg. Cardiac enzymes would be normal with admission but in 8 hours could show a rise. If the patient had no previous history of cardiac problems then admit the patient to a cardiac telemetry floor until cardiac enzymes are negative X3 and arrange for a stress test. If all that is normal then discharge the patient. Was this patient male or female
