Should I Call The Doctor Having Blood In Diarrheoa, Cramping And Sore Left Lower Quadrant And Had Biopsies Of Nerve And Muscles Few Days Ago?

My 87 year old mother just finished a course of cephalexin last Friday, Jan 10 following nerve and muscle biopsies. This morning she started diarrhea and had a couple of bad episodes but this afternoon she has been feeling better although still having small diarrhea stools. She didn't feel like eating anything except liquids for lunch but tonight had chicken soup and dry toast for supper. There is one This evening she has begun having blood in the diarrhea. The cramping was bad this morning but is less tonight. There is one area in her left lower quadrant that is "sore." Do we need to call her doctor tonight or is it ok to wait until morning?

HI, i have read your query and according to my opinion there is two cause of diarrhea 1) this may be antibiotcs associated .2) this may be infective diarrhea.So should take pre& pro biotic and oflox+ornidazole for cause -2&oral rehydration solution.If this due to cause -1, then you shoud take pre&pro biotics, curd & banana.
