HI actually i m 29 weeks pragnent . conceiving my first baby.....bt nw i have a problem regarding sugar........i done gct test in which my suger laver is 143mg|dl and urine sugar...+(0.5).......in my parents nobody have sugar......is it risky? is is continue after dilivery?any sideeffects to baby? plz tell me

Hello , we all belong to asian population were risk of diabetes is higher than other groups. Your screening test is little on the higher side. You can continue u r preg and hav to follow a diabetic diet. U hav to do glucose tolerance test. If sugars are not normal with diet u may hav to tak medicine.it may hav some effect on baby lik big baby and more fluid level. U may hav future risk of diabetes
