What Causes A Lump Forming A Pink Ring Around It When Popped?

i had a tick on my back about a week ago, knocked it off and removed something left behind with tweezers. it is now red in the center with a pink ring around it. I took the tick to a clinic and they sent it away. They gave me a topical cream. Should i be concerned?

Hi

You seem to have developed a lesion of vector dermatitis .
This is basically an allergic skin reaction to an insect.
The redness and swelling that you have , are all part of the skin allergic reaction to the insect secretions .
You need to apply a topical steroid cream like cortisone over the affected areas twice a day .
In addition, you might need to take oral antihistamine tablet to bring down the allergy.
