What Causes Chest Tightness And Pain On Right Side?

Today I have chest tightness (which started last night), I notice a mild pain on the right side (right breast area), and, on ocassion, I find myself taking a deep breath, unexpectedly. Chest tightness worsens when I bend over (i.e., to pick something up off the floor). I'm 55 years old and I take care of my parents, so I realize it may be stress related, but wanted medical advise. Thank you!

Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query.Your chest pain is most likely costochondritis.Pain while palpation on the rib area is characteristic for that.Any how it is better to have an ECG and chest X ray to rule out cardiac and pulmonary cause of it.For costochondritis i treat my patients with anti inflammatory gels of nimusulide or diclofenac for local application.I also advise the same drugs for oral intake if pain is more.If pain is not subsiding and more after this also, then i recommend local injection of corticosteroids or anesthetics.Hope this may help you.
