Hi i have a brownish mark come up on my face, my cheekbone area,its quite large about the size of a finger print nearly its not raised or anything, i noticed it last night and thought i had dirt on my cheek but it wont come off its just appeared suddenly can you help please, i asked one of my children if it was still there this morning and they thought it was a bruise, but nothing has happened to cause it to bruise and as i said its just appeared suddenly and is light brownish in colour Chezney xx

hello thanks fr quiery..Melasma is a common skin problem. It causes brown to gray-brown patches on the face. Most people get it on their cheeks, bridge of their nose, forehead, chin, and above their upper lip. It also can appear on other parts of the body that get lots of sun, such as the forearms and neck.Sun exposure and hormones triggers melasma. Hence common in pregnant women too.. One of the most common treatments is sun protection. This means wearing sunscreen every day and reapplying the sunscreen every 2 hours, u can wear a wide-brimmed hat when you are outside. hp it helps,,tc,,
