Hello,
Since your lungs rattle when breathing, and because you have been suffering from 2 weeks, get clinically examined by a GP. Get sputum examination, X-ray PNS, X-ray lungs and required imaging tests done. You will be referred to an ENT for throat examination if required. In the meantime, do not blow your nose too hard. Take antihistamine at bedtime, once daily for five days for relieve from
cough.
Gargle your throat with warm salt water 3-4 times day. Take liquid food. Sip water throughout the day. You can keep cough lozenges in your mouth. If your reports show infection in the lungs, you will be treated with antibiotics. Avoid staying in dusty places.
Allergy to dust, pollen, animal dander, paint, etc., can cause such symptoms.
Do not smoke, do not take alcohol, stay away from addiction of any kind.
Night sweats are commonly caused by
anxiety and
stress, underlying medical condition, infection, etc.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
