Ayurvedic treatment- as per condition described by you it is very chronic condition, to get relief completely you have to take medication for longterm and follow strict diet regimen,and do not loose patience because in this disease patients are alway changing doctors and way of therapy so stick to one therapy and one doctor if you want to get complete relief.medicines- kutaj ghan Vati-1 tds,sanjeevani vati-1 tds,both before both meals with warm water,kutajarishta-2 tsp with equal parts of water,besides that have home made food regularly,avoid junk, fermented,stale food,outside food.fresh sweet butter milk will be more effective,have it during meal and and substitute for cold drinks.avoid methi,Palau,paneer,pav etc. take care.

Although Ulcerative Colitis is not caused by emotional distress or sensitivity to certain foods or food products, but these factors may trigger symptoms in some people. The stress of living with ulcerative colitis may also contribute to a worsening of symptoms.

In Ayurveda the drug of choice in ulcerative collitis is panchamrit parpiti this is used with bilawadi churan and then as per condition needs medicines like kaharva pishti, bol parpiti,bol badh ras etc are added. avoid irritants. I had a case 75 years old on mesacol and still had to wear diaper as frequency of stools was more than 100 per day. benefitted with these drugs.

Ulcerative colitis is an inflammatory bowel disease that results in chronic inflammation in digestive tract, usually in the large intestine (colon) and the rectum. The patients of ulcerative colitis have swelling along with ulcers located in their colon and rectum.

Broadly speaking ulcerative colitis is included under an umbrella term called as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). IBD is a term referring to the diseases that cause chronic inflammatory condition of digestive tract. Another condition included under this category is Crohn’s disease. Crohn's disease can cause inflammation similar to ulcerative colitis anywhere in the digestive tract from the mouth to the rectum, but more commonly it attacks the small intestine in contrast to ulcerative colitis, which attacks mainly the large intestine.
Inside the large intestine, the inflammation of the inner lining (mucosa) causes death of the colon lining cells and this results in sores or ulcers. Also the inflammation makes the colon to empty frequently resulting in diarrhea. As the lining of the colon is destroyed, ulcers form releasing mucus, pus and blood.
