Alcoholic blackouts
What is Alcoholic blackouts?
An Alcoholic blackout is an “alcohol-induced brain dysfunction”. This occurs when a person consumes enough alcohol that it interferes with brain function and memory formation. Blacked out people can remember things from their distant past, but they cannot remember anything that happened a minute ago because they cannot form short-term memory. Alcohol blocks the ability to form memory.
