What is Posthemorrhagic anemia?

Post hemorrhagic anemia is a condition characterized by reduced hemoglobin secondary to loss of blood. It is usually acutely caused by road traffic accidents or chronically by gastro intestinal bleeding or excessive / prolonged menstruation.
