What is Subacute endocarditis?

Subacute bacterial endocarditis (also called endocarditis lenta) is a type of endocarditis (more specifically, infective endocarditis).

It can be confused with essential mixed cryoglobulinemia.

It can be considered a form of Type III hypersensitivity.
