I took Dr. Patel's advice not to neglect the swelling situation I described and went to my Family Practice physician. She did a lot of blood work and a chest xray. The blood work indicated my heart is under pressure and the xray confirmed fluid in my chest. I have been referred to a cardioligist. So what appeared relatively minor to me deserved the follow up suggested by Dr. Patel
