Dear Dr Engelbert Bain, Thank you for your excellent advice regarding my daughter. She went into hospital and had liver function tests which showed that her liver was not in fact enlarged and functioning normally. An ultrasound was also made, which showed that the complex cyst had gone completely, which was a good outcome. However the doctors did find that her fallopian tubes and ovaries were stuck to the uterus with adhesions, and also to the bowel wall. Very little movement was observed. She is going into hospital in two or three weeks for tests to find out if there has been much damage to the tubes before deciding what to do about the adhesions, by conducting a contrast scan and running dye through the womb. Your assessment was spot on though despite having very minimal information, especially with regard to the ultrasound scan which she had. the doctor is very open minded. steroids are often a taboo and most doctors always immediately advises against it without any consideration. Dr. Bain considers the situation FIRST before making any recommendations that are RATIONAL. EXCELLENT.
