Dr. Taka's advice was appreciated. My husband stopped taking the Meloxicam which wasn't helping. Doubling up on the gabapentin didn't help either and he couldn't get the dr. to prescribe a stronger dose. His skin was too sensitive to apply any numbing patch. Terrasil Ointment helped a little bit. Basically, he's putting up with the discomfort which is very slowly disappearing.
