Dr. Kumar's answer was very insightful. He could even tell by my symptoms that I was a female, over 50 years of age. He said that every steroid can cause constipation (which the LPN who ordered the shot for me had no idea of and said she had never heard of this happening before.) He gave me good advice on what to do to alleviate the reactions I am having and encouraged me not to be afraid to have the next cortisone injection which I need, but which medications I should have at home in case this should occur again.
