Dr. Galamaga responded with a very clear answer as to the use indications for the 2 antibiotics that were prescribed for me.

Answer set my mind at ease. I'll keep checking symptoms and if the get worse I'll go to emergency. Otherwise I'll see my regular Kaiser physician Monday.
