Hi XXXXXXX

Thanks for posting your query.

Your son is a young athlete, quite active physically. These symptoms are bound to occur in him.

His shaky hands may depict a general decrease in his stamina and he requires more nutrition. You may start him on a daily dose of Multivitamin tablet that could help him to overcome the shaky hands. The tablet is available over the counter in the US.

Regarding his numb toe, it could be due to the sports injuries that he had over the year. He needs to be examined for any nerve trap or pinched nerve or even a hairline crack in his toe bone. An X-ray of the affected toe will help to know the cause for it. It may require splinting and rest for some time.

As said earlier, he is physically active and hence his metabolic rate would be higher compared to his normal peers. It is expected that he gets grumpy when he hasn't eaten.

Give him adequate nutrition in the form of fruits and vegetable salads.

I do not think there is a major health concern in him. He should be fine soon.
