Question: my son 5 years old is having unproductive cough throughout the day today after he skipped flohale(fluticasone propionate) rotacap dose yesterday night.Duolin and flohale respule given already. still cough persists.

Thanks for posting your query.

1) Kindly answer the following details:
a) Presence/ absence of fever
b) Respiratory difficult along with cough.
c) Sounds coming from chest.
d) Presence/ absence of chest pain.

2) Presence of dry cough may be due to exacerbation of asthma (for which doulin & flohale was advised) or may be due to simple viral infection.

3) You should consult with pediatrician and go for thorough check up.

4) A simple asthmatic condition may become worse after a viral infection, so don't get panic. Your son may need extra medicine for control of all symptoms.

5) You should also go for chest x XXXXXXX pulmonary function test for confirmation of disease.
