Abdominal Cramps Before Period. Is It Common Or Is It Something To Worry About?

Is it common or is it something to worry about?
As i read in some sites that it will lead to miscarriage.
Thanks for the query.
during the process of uterine enlargement in pregnancy minimal cramps are normal called as XXXXXXX XXXXXXX contractions,
they will subside by their own or by rest in one to two minutes.
you can follow measures like maintaining adequate hydration,
lying in left lateral position,
sometimes changing the position will decrease the pain,
avoid full bladder.
but if they are,
-progressive in severity and/or duration,
-not subsiding with rest or routine analgesics,
-associated with leaking per vaginum or bleeding per vaginum etc
you have to visit doctor as they can turn into true uterine contractions and cause miscarriage.
Hope I have answered your query. I will be available to answer your follow up queries. If you are satisfied with all my answer, please rate the answer after closing the discussion.
Take care.
