After Typhoid Infection, Dying To Eat Non-veg Food. Suggest?
Hi again
Detailed Answer:
Hi again.
Thanks for your query.
I think it has been one month since your typhoid infection.
This much period is enough for the gut to heal. If you did not have fever, diarhea or constipation then you can start by taking small quantities initially. Prepare it at home. Wash the meat well with clean drinking water before preparing. Lobsters, shrimps, fish are not allowed still since they are not easily digestible. Chopped meat or chicken may be taken.
Your diet may contain upto 2500 kcal/day.
The following items can be included in your diet:
Milk, cheese, ghee, mild tea, juices, fresh soups among liquid foods
solid food can include rice porridge, cream biscuits, soft bread, roti, rice taken with daals or soupy vegetables, home-made south indian dishes, fruits (papaya, pomegranate, banana, citrus fruits)
If there is a return of fever with solid foods then you will need to go back to liquid diet.
