After Vascular Reconstruction How Long Will The Postoperative Stay Be?

Question: dear dr XXXXXXX i wrote to you several weeks ago.about my husbands periphial vascula disease. i am pleased to inform you he now has an app with a vascula surgeon on may 21st,2014. if an operation is suggested as our own dr thinks this will be the only option open to him how long can he expect to remain in hospital and how long before he will be able to walk. thank you for all your past help. hoping you can give me the information i have requested. his legs are getting worse each day. he can bareley walk 15yards before the pain kicks in . even in bed he's in pain. this op would be a life line for him.
Brief Answer:
a couple of weeks
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Sorry, but Dr. XXXXXXX is not available for now, so I am answering your query.
After vascular reconstruction or bypass surgery, about 10-12 days of postoperative stay should be there, if there are no complications.
And if everything goes fine, he should be walking in 2 weeks.
Hope, I have been helpful.

Dr. Ashish Verma
