Am Pregnant, Urine Test Showed Pus Cells And Epithelial Cells. Does Increase In Epithelial Cells Have Problem During Pregnancy?
Question: Hi..iam 7 months pregnant and had my regular monthly urine test and found epithelial cells count as 15-20 and pus cells as 4-5. Does increase in epithelial cells have problem during pregnancy? is it is normal or severe problem. how can this be cured?
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
First of all congratulations to the mother to be.
The report is absolutely normal.
Presence of epithelial cells in urine indicates either urine sample contamination during collection or presence of normal cells from urethra or bladder.
Less then 10 pus cells are considered normal in urine analysis.
Both of this does not require any treatment and you are fine.
Do not worry.
I hope this helps and clarify your concern.
Please write again if you have something more to ask.
In case you do not have further query, please accept the answer.
