Are Benadon And Combutol The Right Medicines For Bone TB?
Question: My father is 48 yrs old, weight 93 kg. & is having problem of Bone TB in back. Taking medicines, R-Cinex 750 mg (Empty Stomach), Combutol 1000 mg (2 Tablets), Pyrazinamide 750 mg (2 & 1/2 tablets), Pregablin 75 mg (2 tablets), Injection Streptomycin 1 gm (1 Daily). Now, another doctor has advised Benadone 40 mg along with INH & reduced Pyrazinamide to 1 & 1/2 tablets & Combutol 1000 to 1 tablet. Is it correct & wat is purpose of Benadone & INH ?? His last ESR Test reported value of 85.
Further I want to ask that he is also Diabetic taking Huminsulin - R injection. So, what could be appropriate High Protein diet ??

Benadone is pyridoxine (vitamin B 6) which is nutritional supplements of vitamin as antitubercular treatment leads to deficiency of this vitamin. INH is antitubercular drug used in treatment of tuberculosis. High protein diet suitable for him will be milk, egg and chicken and meat.
