Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXX, Hi
Good afternoon.
I appreciate your concern for the loose motions with associated indigestion.
Chlorocin (Chloramphenicol) could have been the cause of persistent loose motions.
Diarrhea is an important side effect of Chlorocin because of the suppression of the endogenous beneficial gut flora and overgrowth of disease producing bacteria in the intestines.
These endogenous bacteria are useful in the process of digestion and absorption of the food.
In my opinion, Chlorocin is effective only in the treatment of drug resistant typhoid fever, I do not know why your treating physician prescribed this antibiotic which is almost obsolete now days except for some use in eye infection.
Had you been my patient, I would have advised you to stop taking Chlorocin.
Instead of Chlorocin, Oflaxacin would have been a better option along with Metrogyl.
So, take Probiotic like Bifilac along with oral rehydration solution and plenty of oral fluids to restore the lost fluids. Take soft food like ganjee, idlee without sambar, butter milk, curd, etc.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXX, Hi
Welcome back.
Thanks for your replyl.
The probiotic preparation Cap. Bifilac can be taken orally 2-3 times daily.
There are a number of ORS solution powders available over the counter like Electral, Re lyte, or Cetral-B.
Besides the best home remedy would be add a pinch of salt to a glass of lemon or lime juice and drink it 3-4 times.
