Are Kombiglyze And Glimepiride Effective To Control Diabetes?
It depends
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
diabetes is pretty diverse. Kombiglyze and Glimepiride are actually 3 drugs (Saxagliptin, Metformin, Glimepiride). I can't tell you whether these drugs are enough because no patient is the same with the others.
A patient with a newly diagnosed diabetes may only need diet and exercise to control the blood sugar, while another patient with a long standing diabetes may need multiple injections of insulin.
The three drugs you're taking are supposed to lower your glucosylated hemoglobin about 2,5-3,5 % so if you had a 8,5%-9,0% without treatment, then you have a very good chance to get it under 7,0% (the target level).
I hope I've helped!
