Are Metasens And Endoglim Effective In Bringing Down Blood Sugar Levels?
Question: I am already a diabetic and I am taking endoglim m2 in the morning before breakfast and metasens500mg at night before supper so do you think glucose health would help me to bring my sugar levels to normal

Hope you are doing well.Endoglim m2 contains two drugs namely Glimepiride and Metformin.
Glimepiride increases insulin secretion (from pancreas).Insulin acts on the tissues and opens the gate through which glucose enters the tissue.Thus glimepiride which increases the insulin secretion lowers blood sugars.Thus glimipiride is called secretagogue.
Metformin(present in metasens as well as in combination with glimepride in endoglim) helps to improve the glucose entry at the level of tissue(muscle, fat) and thus is called a sensitizer.This increases the ability of the tissue to takeup glucose and thus keeps a check on increased blood sugars.Since metformin action is short it has been used singly(metasens) as well as with glimepiride(endoglim m2).This is the current standard of care for treatment of diabetes and they bring the sugars to normal with adequate dietary and lifestyle modifications.
I would suggest regular follow up & monitoring of Fasting(recommended is <126mg/dl) and Post prandial sugars (recommended is <180mg/dl).Do a HbA1c level (recommended is <7) once in three months.All these will help you to keep a check on sugars and take necessary measures to keep them under control.
