Are Shelcal, Ecosprin And Folinext D Safe To Take During Pregnancy?

Question: Hello Doctor!
I am 29 years old and 35 weeks pregnant. Initially I was 75kg and now I am 86kg but my doctor says baby weight is not up to the mark and is around 2.3kg. I drink enough water but frequently urinate as I feel heavy on my bladder every 20 minutes. She even prescribed me Argigest XXXXXXX one per day and electoral sachets 2 per day as my AFI is low. I have been continuing shelcal HD 12, ecosprin 75, coehb, folinext D and now due to low baby growth she prescribed me Astymin Forte for 10 days. My EDD is on 10/05/16. Will these medicines help my baby gain the required weight before I go for labour?

I have read you query and I understand your concerns.

Following is my reply:

1) Your baby weight is normal for 35 weeks pregnancy.

2) Your baby will reach minimum weight of 2.5 kg before delivery. I dont see any reason to panic.

3) Please stop ecosprin as your EDD is nearing.

4) You can continue with other medicines. But I dont see any reason to worry about baby weight. Baby will gain adequate weight before labour.
