Brief Answer:
Get the test to rule out organicity first
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to HCM!
I have gone through your query and medical history and can see that there is a problem of ED. The duration of ED is not mentioned anywhere which would have been very helpful in treatment.
If ED is due to age related issue ( testosterone deficiency) then testosterone supplement is the correct treatment option. But it is always wise to rule out organicity of local penile blood vessels before proceeding for any treatment modality ( as this is also a common factor behind ED).
many time ED is due to blockage or narrowing of penile blood vessels ( confirmed by penile Doppler study), and it is treated in a different way. You have mentioned high cholesterol problem , this can also be one of the cause for ED ( and here testosterone is not deficient).
So, finding the correct cause is the first requirement in managing ED- get Doppler study and rule out any thinking/ blockage of blood vessels, and then proceed safely.
Hope the reply is useful for you
