Hello, I am a 39 yr. old female. I was diagnosed w/Fibromyalgia in 2001 and some arthritis in my spine in 2005. My rheumatologist came to the conclusion of fibromyalgia after running numerous blood tests and checking my medical history. Also have high blood pressure (only in recent years) and taking meds. to control same. Currently, my ailments have gotten worse over the past few years. I suffer from extreme fatigue, especially in the later hours of the day. Driving home from work is a daily challenge to stay awake. When I wake up in the morning, it’s as if I had not slept at all. My aches and pains have spread and encompass more of my back/neck now than before. I have similar aches in my hands/fingers, feet and other joints. My skin and hair have always been very dry and my hands and feet are the first to suffer from any cold. Moodiness is also a challenge. Constipation is a daily battle but, I pass it off as maybe a side effect from the pain medication? 2011 - My recent visit to my cardio doctor came when I started experiencing some left-side chest pain. Some cardio tests were done (x-ray, non-nuclear stress test, EKG) and they were all normal. Blood work was also done. The lab work showed a TSH at 3.9 and high cholesterol. A previous test of the thyroid was showing a TSH at 4.2 (this test was done by cardio in 2005). I do not understand the high cholesterol because I try to eat right and exercise to keep my achy muscles moving. Early 2008 - I had a tonsillectomy. I had been having recurring strep throat incidents and could no longer take the pain in my throat. Shortly after the surgery, I started experiencing extreme fatigue and the feeling of something “stuck in my throat.” When I spoke to the ENT about it, he said I did suffer from some excessive bleeding during the surgery and that probably was to blame for the extreme fatigue. As far as the feeling of something caught in my throat, he explained that I had some reflux issues going on and prescribed Prilosec to take for a few weeks/months. In Oct. of 2008, after still suffering the strange feeling in my throat, and being told it was just reflux, I consulted with a gastroenterologist. Had an endoscopy w/Gastro and discovered a small cyst behind vocal cords. Same was removed by ENT that performed tonsillectomy. Feeling of something stuck in the throat is not as bad as before, but still there. Just wondering if something was missed? Thank you, Melissa
