Question: hi, I've been experiencing some weird feelings in my neck that I was told by my doctor that it was just anxiety. but this feelings come on without me even worrying, just seemingly out of nowhere.

I had the flu about 2 months ago and then turn into vertigo for about 4 weeks. I just need to stop feeling like this

I agree with the opinion of your doctor that it could be due to anxiety.
Anxiety may or may be always present for such symptoms to appear.

Once developed due to anxiety, such symptoms can persist even when there is no anxiety for the time being.

I would suggest you to practice relaxation exercises like deep breathing and progressive muscle relaxation.
This will help you to get rid of this weird feeling.
