Recommend Medications For Vitiligo With Intense Pain In Ears

i have a vertigo problem going on my gp just says it s tiny ear crystals out of place that will probably return by doing certain exercises that she gave me/ The ENT told me the doc was prob. right. finally i had to ask since neither was calling it anything. i said is this bppv the ENT said yes, i asked then why do i have ear pain and a fullness like pressure in the ear could it be meniers? The ENT said they are one and the dame thing Meniers was a french man that discovered vertigo (so to speak) My ENT noticed on my paperwork i filled out that i put down that i had a Anterior duel discectomy with fusion in 2003, he questioned who did my procedure and how am i doing now, i told him i have frequent stiffness in neck and shoulder area and some pain but nothing like it was before my surgery. so that was all he said about it. So both Docs. are aware of my surgery and neither one can mention that cervical vertigo even exsist and that it might be stemming from this. which inturn my explain the ear pain without really any hearing loss. the vertigo has been ongoing for a month now It started with a 2 day dizzy spell that left me vomiting off and on for the 1st 24 hours and now the nausea is gone but the dizzy spells are still there and so is the ear pain & pressure & tinnitus. So my question really is are these excersises which cantain hanging my head upside down and every which way but loose gonna do any good if I do have Cervical Vertigo and or will they Harm any problem that may be going on in there with the nerves. and what can i take if anything for the pain/ pressure in the ear. please any info or advise would be welcome.

Otolaryngologist / ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

This cervical vertigo is because of reduced blood supply to brain due to compression of arteries due to particular position of neck. So, don't worry. Just continue the medications what are you taking now. Please continue the neck exercises. See, whether you can identify any particular position of neck where you get dizziness and try to avoid that position.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
