Are Brown Freckles On Skin While Recovering From Viral Infection A Concern?
Question: My son has had a viral infectio this week and now the red rash has gone down and we are left with these brown freckles. Should i be concerned?
Brief Answer:
No!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about this viral infection. These freckles are typical and often signal the final phase of the infection with desquamation. There is no reason to be worried about this. Observe only and this will gradually go through the normal evolution and resolve. There is no need for any further medical intervention.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask of more information and clarifications if need be.
