Brief Answer:
it's a side effect

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

dry mouth is a common side effect which may occur in up to 1/10 of patients. If she can't stand it then you should talk to her doctor for an alternative drug. Otherwise she can continue to take it. Dry mouth is not the most serious side effect obviously. So it's more a matter of convenience.

Kind Regards!

Brief Answer:
yes... in both questions

Detailed Answer:
Sleepiness occurs in more than 10% of patients.
A patient may have many side effects at the same time. It's just a matter of luck for most side effects. Few side effects can be anticipated. Some patients have many side effects, other patients have none!

Kind Regards!
