Question: Hello doctor,
My sister is there her age is 25 and height is 5'2.
She completed her education till 12th from XXXXXXX and she took admission in B.tech aeronautics from XXXXXXX because she always wanted to do aeronautics. But when she started studying in college she was not much happy as she doesn’t like ,much her college, because it was not that great as she expected. She was having home sickness also because this was the first time when she was far away from her parents.she always miss her home, family. In 2014 may be it was a month of April when she came to home mom noticed that she was giving smile for no reason. But then no one took so seriously all these. when she completed her vacation she again went to XXXXXXX she used to stay in her college hostel. One day she called her sister and said her class is over now so every one is going to home so what should I do, should I come to your place and her sister said ya you come and stay here.
When she came she was fine but her behavior was not normal, in the sense she was not talking much,if you tell her to do this she will do something else. One day her sister scolded her and she started crying in a dual voice and then completely making noise and started telling something and all.
Then we took her to maulvi(A muslim doctor of the law) we thought its something evil spirit and all. because once she has told us that she got scared in hostel as there friends always talks about all these.and in a very next day she was fine.she was asking only one thing that what had happened yesterday. After 4th day she went to her place XXXXXXX with her sis she was fine and then we took her to physician doctor he gave some medicine and said she is very weak. after that she was completely fine.and after that she doesn't want to stay and study in XXXXXXX so she just has given her exam.and she used to say that i cant stay now in XXXXXXX because I have suffered a lot there.i got ill. but she was always having that regret that, what she has thought and what she got, she always wanted to study and wanted to make her career in aeronautics. Now in 2016 after 2nd half years from past one month she started giving smile for no reason, but she sleeps in night.but when we ask she will tell I am just thinking something and all that’s why am laughing.
From past one week she was not getting nice sleep and then this Thursday she started shouting the same thing she did which she has done before 2 years back.

Brief Answer:
Needs consultation with psychiatrist

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query.

This may be a mental health disorder as you feel that she is talking in dual voice. She may also be hallucinating. But you have not provided with that history. Second thing maybe depression. A personal consultation with a psychiatrist may be of help. Till now (from your history) there is no specific symptom of any mental health disorder.

Thus I will suggest some lifestyle measures that may be helpful. Along with support from family and ignoring the dual voice, she can try a Happiness Course with Art of Living. I have seen many such people getting help from this 6 day course.

Hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Brief Answer:
Maybe dysthymia

Detailed Answer:
Hi again

This does not seem to be bipolar disorder.

Firstly a stressor at her college should be ruled out. There are high chances that she may be getting bullied/abused by someone.

If a stressor is ruled out, then it maybe adjustment disorder or maybe dysthymia. A psychiatrist is best person to find the diagnosis. In both conditions, behavioral therapy is mainstay. Alongwith antidepressants may be started after consultation with a psychiatrist.

Olanzapine is an antipsychotic. It can calm a person down.
