Are Increased Calcium Level And Low Bone Density Symptoms Of Bone Cancer?
Question: I am concerneed about my oncologist requesting a bone scan. HAd breast cancer/ lumpectomy and radiation four years ago. She said my blood tests were showing an increased calcium level and bone density lowered.

Your oncologist wants you to have bones scans to rule out bones metastases. Please note than breast cancer can give bones metastases. Increased calcium level can indicate bones lesions. That is why bones scans are necessary.
