Are Isotonic Supplements Effective?

default
Posted on Tue, 2 Sep 2014
Question: A question about supplements. Someone told me that isotonic supplements, such as a multivitamin of vitamin D, are better for you than taking the pill form because an isotonic solution of a supplement is absorbed by the body at a higher rate. Is this true and is ot worth it to use isotonic supplements?

Brief Answer:
Isotonic supplements are good

Detailed Answer:
hello and welcome.

No. isotonic supplements havent got a greater absorption and havent been proved to have any significant advantage over conventional multivitamins and supplements.

Supplementation e.g of vitamin d and others should ideally be done under supervision of a trained healthcare provider who could advise it if there is a deficiency suspected or diagnosed. Isotonic solutions of multivitamins can be of help to those who dont prefer tablets.
