Are Menopausal Symptoms Fatal?
You cannot ever, ever DIE of menopause or get HURT... it's a fact.
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,
Now that's a pretty smart question if I ever heard of one.
Indeed.... can you DIE of menopause?
1. Menopause is caused when the female reproductive system undergoes changes due to "hormones". Or rather a lack of them.
2. This happens as you age.
3. After menopause, typically you cannot have kids, in the natural course of events.
4. Menopause causes two highly irritating problems.
1. Vaginal dryness.
2. Hot flashes.
3. Mood swings and irritability.
5. These are a few of the main problems that are associated with menopause.
6. There are medicines and therapies for these issues. You can take the proper
medicines, and live a healthy lifestyle to counter these problems.
7. You will have to work on yourself. I mean to say,
1. Learn Kegel Pelvic floor exercises, for instance.
2. Preserve vaginal elasticity, and take preventive measures for dryness.
3. Avoiding Coffee, Alcohol, Cigarettes and excesses.
4. Exercising well, taking a walk, and meditating and relaxing yourself.
5. Getting the emotional support of your partner.
8. These are gynecologic facts. These are medical facts.
9. According to the best of my knowledge, no woman ever DIED of menopause.
You are free to "spider" the internet. It's an open challenge.
10. This is to remove your fears or DYING, or perhaps something equally horrible
happening to you.
11. You are NOT a paranoid person. You are actually quite justified in your concerns and fears. It's good that you are taking the challenges of menopause
with preparation.
12. Anticipate menopause... do not DREAD and FEAR menopause. Face menopause with intelligent preparation, some medicines, some exercise, some work to keep focused on, some play (hobbies like "Tai Chi" are actually medically known to work), some emotional help (your partner, and understanding people help) and a fair amount of luck, courage and sheer dint of will power.
You are encouraged to write back. Perhaps you might have some thoughts to pen on this. Your opinion is valuable in helping you.

You can outsmart the risks of late pregnancy just as many others do. Easily
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXX,
1. Smoking can hurt the baby, not to mention yourself.
2. At 46, you might face issues that have to do with genetic problems, in the fetus.
3. These issues can be detected by Aminocentesis and USG tests easily.
4. You can easily work your way out of these issues, with a little care and attention, which you already display.
5. There might be difficulty conceiving in the first place. This can be surmounted using modern technology.
6. These are then the facts. You can get pregnant, BEFORE menopause if you wish, but not AFTER menopause. Remember this simple fact.
There are no real issues that are stopping you which other women routinely overcome, given of course, that they follow a few simple rules, use medical technology wisely when required, and discard it when necessary.
This is the best choice. Probably, you'll agree to this. Revert back to me for any
further thoughts on this.
Yours sincerely,
Dr. Neel Kudchadkar
Kindly get evaluated by a Gynecologist.
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXX,
1. There are some issues that require a face to face talk with a doctor, in your case, a gynecologist. These issues cannot be resolved online. This is a medical fact.
2. I can make diagnostic and therapeutic speculations, based on the information that you have given me.
3. Yet, as a doctor, I would have treated you after a face to face interview.
4. Menopause is a highly unique and significant part of a woman's life. It cannot be taken lightly, however it is not to be taken too seriously, so that you might be frightened that either you might die, or something sinister would happen to you. This is clear from your previous statements.
5. At this point of time as a doctor and as a well wisher, I would frankly advise you to spend some quality time with a gynecologist. This is worth the investment in time, money and effort, many times over.
Regards,
Dr. Neel Kudchadkar
